An epic tale of England - and that it was!

When you have the challenge of bringing 2000 year of history together and fit it into 120 minutes the only thing to do is build a set with the beautiful backdrop of Auckland Castle and bring together a cast and crew of 1,000 volunteers and KYNREN was born.

Narrated by the Bishop of Durham, Hensley Henson leads a young boy Arthur through the 'Gate House of Time' and takes him on a journey through the history of England. From King Arthur, the Civil War, Shakespeare and other notable events.

With the set rising from the Lake, fireworks, jousting, animals and a steam train it was an evening that I won't be forgetting in a hurry. I hope there will be something even more spectacular planned for next year and in the meantime you could always hold a concert or two!
