Q&A

I wanted to do something a little different with today's post, a chance for my readers to get to know me a little better. I find that when writing blog post I never get to mention the obvious things such as what I studied at uni or what my favourite season is. I hope you enjoy, lease feel free to leave your answers to these questions in the comments box.

What is your name?

Quite an obvious question to start with my name is Gemma, but people call me Gem or Jemima (I have always been a big fan of Beatrix Potter).

Did you go to University? 

Yes, I studied Graphic Design & Communication at the University of Sunderland and graduated in 2014. I wasn't really sure what i wanted to do so after taking a year out after Sixth From I took an Art & Design Foundation course which allowed me to experience a full range of art and design subject areas. After deliberating between Fine Art, Fashion and Graphics, I chose to study Graphic Design as it would allow me to incorporate elements of Fine Art and Fashion into my work.

What camera do you use? 

I use a Panasonic Lumix GF6 or a Nikon D3100.

What's your go to outfit? 

Something basic, that consists of black skinny jeans, pumps and a block colour blouse. I must own about 10 pairs of black jeans and they are all different! I think I'm becoming a little lazy when choosing outfits as they all seem to look the same from day to day and I need to be a little more adventures in the outfits I put together in the future.

If you could visit one place, where would it be? 

There are some many amazing places on my list and would take too long for me to choose between them. I'm off to Amsterdam and Paris in April so I can tick them off my list. If I had to choose just one it would have to be Egypt, a little boring I know considering places like the Maldives or Thailand  but I've always been a lover of history and to see the Pyramids and visit the Valley of the Kings to me would be simply breath taking.

Heels or Flats? 

I'm 5'11 and as much as I love wearing heels I end up looking like a giant next to my friends which has made me become a flats girl. I've build up a lovely collecting of flats and they are never off my feet so then next time I wear heels it maybe like watching Bambi on ice.

What's your favourite type of holiday? 

I'm a real explorer and like to take in the countries cultures, so anywhere that is seeped in history, with a museum and art galleries is always top of the list. I also like to potter around the local markets and with the odd day lounging around the pool with a book in one hand and a mocktail in the other always makes me happy. Over the past 20 years I have managed to accumulate a large collection of postcards form my travels.

What is your star sign? 

Taurus

Summer or Winter? 

Winter, there is nothing better than wrapping up in a cosy coat with an over sized scarf. I always like to be cold rather than too hot!
